How much is registration?
T-Ball (5&6)____$70
Pixie (7&8), Ponytail (9 &10), Freshman (11&12), and Sophomore/JR/SR (13-18)  $85
A Family Discount will be calculated as follows:
Use the above listed price for the youngest child you have playing.  For each additional player, please add $70.

What equipment will my daughter need?
Each player will be given a uniform shirt & socks.  Each player will need cleats and a glove that she can easily open and close-preferably made for softball (vs. baseball).  Other items you might consider:  A helmet (MUST have a NOCSAE approved facemask on it) and/or a bat.  A few bats and helmets will be provided per team from the association if needed.  Many parents choose to buy a helmet to help prevent the spread of head lice, etc.

Is there a required fundraiser this season?
Yes, each player is asked to sell candy.  However, you can choose not to do the fundraiser by choosing to buy-out -- add $50 to the above registration fees for each player.

When will this money be due?
The date will be announced to coincide with uniform hand-out & the team mom meeting and will likely be the last week in February (Wed., Feb. 27).  Each team must turn in one (1) check for the entire group to Paul Depaulis.  Teams that do not turn in all owed monies will not receive uniforms until the check is turned in.

Does my team need a sponsor?
Yes!  In order to keep registration costs down and our softball facility up to date each team is required to have a sponsor.

When do sponsorships have to be turned in?
Sponsorships must be turned in to Paul Depaulis in order to receive recognitions.  They may also be sent to the PO Box listed on the website.

What recognitions do sponsors receive?
A sponsor receives:
For $150 sponsorship-Recognition Plaque, Listing on our sponsor’s recognition banner.
For $250 sponsorship-Recognition Plaque, Listing on our sponsor’s recognition banner & the sponsors name on the back of the team’s jersey.

When can we expect to hear from a coach?
Rosters should be set Sat., Feb 2.  Each coach should contact his players No later than Fri., Feb. 8.

How are the teams chosen?
After several years of discussion and debate, the association has decided to implement a draft for the ponytail (9&10) division through the junior/senior (15-18) division.  All players that register within the 9-18 age groups will be placed on a team through a draft process after a skills evaluation.  All players & coaches in these age groups are required to attend the skills evaluation on Sat., January 26.  The specific times & fields will be announced soon.
The t-ball & pixie teams are still formed taking into consideration coach and/or teammate requests when possible.  Second to those requests, we try to put girls together based on the school they attend.  The earlier you register, the better!

When will games start?
Games will begin early March for recreational teams.

When will we get the game schedules?
Game schedules will be available late February/early March.

What days & times could my daughter’s games be?
Generally, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturdays.  Thursday evening games are also likely depending on the availability of umpires.  CFGAA pulls umpires from the same pool as the area high schools.  The area high schools are still finalizing their playing days, so CFGAA will schedule accordingly once the availability of umpires is determined.  T-ball & Pixie games are generally played at 6:30pm on weeknights while the older girls generally have 8pm games during the week.  Saturday games are scheduled beginning at 9am and run through early afternoon.

What days and times could practices be held?
Practice days, times and locations are left up to each individual coach.  Each team is limited to 3 activities per week (i.e. 2 practices, 1 game or 1 practice, 2 games, etc).

My daughter just had her ears pierced.  Can she wear band-aids to cover her earrings?
Due to safety concerns and rules imposed on CFGAA, there will be absolutely no exceptions made to our “No Jewelry” policy.  Please be aware that regardless of when you daughter’s ears were pierced, she will be asked to remove the earrings or she will not be allowed to play.  Band-aids cannot protect a child from injury sustained from earrings being imbedded by collision with other players, batting helmets or a ball.
