The Duluth Jr Thrashers 95 and Charlotte Flames Bantam travel teams joined together the weekend of 11/21 to donate used hockey gear for a newly created Sled Hockey Program.

Interested in Hockey Lessons During the Day?

Are you home schooled? Interested in semi-private hockey lessons during the day? Jason Dawe wants to hear from you so that he can determine the feasibility of offering such a program in Charlotte! Lessons will focus on developing and strengthening your players hockey skills. Areas of focus include skating, stick handling, scoring, etc. Lessons can also be tailored to address specific areas of improvement.
In addition to his NHL hockey experience, Jason represented Team Canada on the global stage winning gold and silver medals in two appearances. He is also the all time leading goal scorer in Peterborough Petes history.

Charlotte Flames Sponsorship Opportunities NOW Available!

The Charlotte Flames season is only weeks away and many volunteers are working hard to finalize the final details for our exciting 2008/2009 program. This season promises to build on our past successes and will continue to focus on providing a great player and parent experience!
As part of our 2008/2009 program, our organization is very pleased to offer our business community expanded sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorships are critical to our success as they enable us to provide a high value hockey program while reducing the financial barriers to entry. There are very clear benefits for our business partners and will vary depending on the specifics and level of sponsorship.
Apart from a simple financial donation, businesses can choose to purchase/sponsor a specific item required by our club for the upcoming season. One of these items is our newly designed game pucks - these pucks are distributed to all our teams and get used during practices and games. The sponsor has the opportunity to have their company logo prominently displayed on one side of the puck. See the newly designed pucks to the left of this article! Other items that can be sponsored include: game jerseys, practice jerseys, water bottles, warm-ups, etc.
Interested businesses are encouraged to email charlotte_flames@yahoo.com to inquire about specifics related to these and other opportunities. Our Charlotte Flames players and parents play an important role in obtaining funds for our hockey club. We ask all to help spread the word about these opportunities to the business community. The Charlotte Flames are a 501(c) non-profit organization and provide tax receipts to all our sponsors.
