Official Rules
Description of the Promotion: The eteamz promotion ("Promotion") provides you with the opportunity to collect epointz that can earn cash or prizes for your sports team or league.
See the point value and prizes on the main epointz page. Some of the terms featured on that page are defined below:
Winner's Pool: Team and League final winners will be selected at random from a qualification pool.*
*Any site that wins an epointz contest is ineligible to win two consecutive months.
NOTE: From time to time eteamz will run independently sponsored epointz promotions. Winners in such sponsored epointz promotions will be chosen according to the specific rules established in connection with the promotion. Details will be provided within the specific sponsor promotion link included with the epointz counter on participating team and league sites.
Referring a friend to your site: Sending an invitation to your site, via an email, that the recipient uses to link back to your eteamz home page. If an email is sent to an incorrect email account, epointz cannot be assigned.
Referred Member: A new, unique (non-duplicative) member that successfully completes the registration process through your eteamz site. eteamz reserves the right to permanently disqualify any team found creating false members or otherwise manipulating member referrals.
Referred Eligible Site: A new, unique team or league (non-duplicative) that successfully completes the eteamz PLUS site building process through your eteamz site.
Eligibility: No Purchase Necessary. The Promotion is open only to sites that are run by individuals 18 years of age or older. To participate in the promotion, web sites must be a team, league, or org sport-related web site. The employees of eteamz, its prize providers, contractors, sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion and advertising agencies and members of their respective immediate families are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Promotional Period: Promotional Period began on July 1, 2001 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (PT), and will continue monthly as long as the contest is successful ("Promotional Period"). Prizes will be determined as of the end of each month throughout the Promotional Period. A month will begin at 12:01 am (PT) on the first day of the month and will end at 11:59:59 (PT) on the last day of the month. eteamz, however, reserves the right to terminate the Promotion without giving notice.

Registration: You must register and become an eteamz member prior to your participation in the Promotion. There is no cost to register and you need not register more than once. To register, visit the eteamz web site at www.eteamz.com and complete all required information on the registration form. You must provide an e-mail address for use throughout the Promotion in order to enter and open an entrant's account. You may select one and only one username and you must use this name whenever you participate in any phase of the Promotion. Registering multiple times will not help your chances of winning.
Winner Selection: Six winners (3 Team sites, 3 League sites) will be selected at random from all eligible contestants that make it into the qualification pool.

Winners of the Promotion and side sponsored promotions will be selected by eteamz whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. The selection of winners will be executed using a computerized program that randomly selects a winner from each eligible group. Winners will be notified by e-mail and/or regular mail and eteamz is not responsible for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by the potential winner for any reason. Winners must respond within 10 days of attempted e-mail notification, or prize will be void and any alternate winner may be selected.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded within four to six weeks of contest closing. Prizes will not be awarded until the user completes his or her eteamz profile information. Cash awards will be paid by check, which will be delivered within four to six weeks of winner verification. eteamz reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value for any specific contest. If a prize substitution is made the substitution will be posted on the eteamz website. Except as otherwise specifically provided hereunder, winners may not substitute, transfer or assign any prize won, unless expressly approved by eteamz. All taxes on prizes and incidental expenses associated with claiming a prize are the responsibility of the winners. eteamz reserves the right to withhold the payment to international participants subject to the applicable laws of that country or territory.
Conduct: The use of machines, computers, software, scripts or any other automated system to participate in the eteamz Promotion is strictly prohibited. eteamz reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Users suspected of engaging in any activity of this sort will receive a single e-mail message (a "Revocation") advising such registrant of eteamz' decision to revoke the Registrant's eteamz "username," effective immediately. A Revocation will result in the Registrant's total and permanent disqualification from this and any future eteamz games or other features or games or promotions available on eteamz. Should eteamz determine, in its sole discretion, that any Registrant has violated any of the prohibitions contained in these Official Rules, eteamz shall have no obligation to award any prizes won by such Registrants.
General: Certain winners may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability release and where lawful, a publicity release within seven days of attempted notification. Failure to comply may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. If a prize is won by a minor, it will be awarded in that minor's name to his or her parent or legal guardian, who must sign all required documents for the winner.
Where permitted by law, winner agrees to grant to eteamz and its licensees, affiliates and assigns, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, at any time or times, the winner's name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information as news or information and for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration; and further without additional consideration to participate in and provide quotes for press releases, publicity events or other promotional activities, from time to time as requested by eteamz.
eteamz reserves the exclusive right, exercisable at any time, without notice, to amend, add to, delete from, alter or otherwise change these Official Rules in such manner as eteamz, in its sole discretion, shall determine appropriate for playing the eteamz games and operating eteamz on the Internet. eteamz' exclusive rights expressed herein shall include, without limitation, the right to re-script the operating code of eteamz and the eteamz contests in order to prevent any unauthorized tampering with the operations or play of eteamz and the eteamz games or any unauthorized use of computer programs, scripts or any other devices intended to automate any aspect of play in any eteamz game.
The Promotion is governed by these Official Rules. By participating, players agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of eteamz which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Promotion. The Promotion is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
BY ENTERING, PARTICIPANTS RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS eteamz, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS FROM ANY AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY OR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROMOTION OR THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE WON.
By participating in this Promotion you may periodically receive announcements from eteamz and/or advertisers or sponsors of the Games or Drawings. If you do not wish to receive these announcements you may change your email settings at www.eteamz.com/company/mail. eteamz shall not be responsible for and shall have no liability to any person with respect to any advertising materials of third parties appearing on the eteamz web site or on any other site to which players may link to from the eteamz site. This Promotion is subject to the eteamz Privacy Statement available on the eteamz web site at www.eteamz.com/company/privacy.
Internet: If for any reason the Internet portion of the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of eteamz which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, eteamz reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. eteamz assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. eteamz is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or line, computer, on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by eteamz on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Promotion.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PLAYER TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE eteamz WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
