2008 NFHCA Clinic Program (Updated 4/22/08)
The NFHCA is pleased to announce that USA Field Hockey will once again be joining with the NFHCA in support of the 2008 Coaches Clinic Program. The coaches clinic program curriculum will be based on USA Field Hockey’s current style of play.
The clinic program will include six sessions based upon a curriculum designed by Pam Stuper, NFHCA Clinic Program Chair and Level II Coach and Terry Walsh, Technical Director of USA Field Hockey. These clinics will present the “USA Way to Play” to junior high, high school and club coaches in a clear, practical and useful way. The clinics will be interactive so attendees are encouraged to bring their sticks and come dressed to play! In addition to skill acquisition, clinicians will be presenting plenty of drills that attendees can take home and use with their athletes. An opportunity to ask questions of each clinician will be provided within the framework of each session as well as at the conclusion of the day’s clinic. WHAT IS THE NFHCA? The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a non-profit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
